Kayla celebrated her sixth birthday this last week. This year we decided to only have a friend party for her with the exception of her grandparent's and uncle Tom's family who only live like 3 miles away from us. Unfortunetly I had originally brought up the idea that she could invite ten friends, but later I realized that may have been too much. When I tried to lower the number Kayla wouldn't have it so she invited ten friends while I crossed my finger that a few wouldn't come. However all the kids showed up and it got a little crazy at the end but Kayla had alot of fun which I guess is what's really important anyway. This year she got her ears peirced for her birthday which is something she has been asking me to do since she was four so she was excited and handled it really well. There were some tears but she did sucked it up and was really happy she did it. We also got her a Leapster which was really the only thing she told us she wanted (besides getting her ears peirced). She has really enjoyed that too and spent all day Sunday playing it. So all in all it was a good birthday for her.
